Call before you burn!

Before conducting a controlled burn, please call 573-592-2486 to report the date and time of your burn. This allows the fire department to be aware of your plans. Without this notification, we may assume the smoke is from a structure fire, which triggers an immediate, full response.

For the safety of both our firefighters and citizens, we respond with lights and sirens during emergencies. Our volunteer firefighters, who are your neighbors and friends, are on call 24/7. We ask for your cooperation in reducing unnecessary emergency runs, allowing us to focus on real emergencies and protect the community more efficiently.

If your controlled burn gets out of control, call 9-1-1 immediately.
